All I had to do was remove, repair and replace the chain on my kids bike. And I'm no pro, mind you. I'm just a father trying to look my daughter in the eye. So, like everyone else, I went online and searched YouTube for "how-to". I started with a hole punch and a hammer. And I removed the chain easily enough; but I could tell I could damage the chain and fingers if I missed even one hit. What. Me to be honest. I have made. My aching finger. So I looked for a tool that was 1) cheap and 2) easy to take off and 3) easy to put on. And I got 2 of 3.1) cheap. So if you're like me and probably will do this once or twice in your life. It's worth it. 2) It was so easy to remove the pin from the chain. My aching finger cursed me the entire time I used this tool. 3) Good. So put the pin back into the chain. Yes, I know I shouldn't reuse the old pin. Roger that. But this is a children's bike and in a year it will be replaced. There has to be a better way to do this. Aligning the pen and making sure it goes in straight was a huge pain. I managed it after some trying, but it took forever. If there were a guide to help with the pen overlay, it would address all three of my points. But I'm still happy because I got what I was looking for.
