This thing is slow once you get used to USB3. I overclocked it to 17MB/s read and 5.7MB/s write to transfer large files. It is even slower with many small files. It takes almost 90 seconds to fill 29.1GB. Considering USB 2.0 speeds can reach up to 50MB/s, this thing is slower. However, it's not bad for long-term storage that you access from time to time. Economically, this costs about 10GB/$, which is about double the cost of DVD storage. And it is useful as a high-capacity boot device.
