reddish potatoes peel very well. The only thing I've used it for is apples and I'm a bit disappointed. It leaves much of the underside uncleaned. Cucumbers don't work. I assume they mean that you cut them in half first, but I think the knife goes in too deep. I know what one reviewer had in mind about corrugated potatoes. I'm also having a hard time moving both tops. They stick and I have to shake the thing to make them move. I'm still debating whether to bring it back.
