Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Asus GeForce GT 1030 2GB PH-GT1030-O2G Phoenix Fan OC Edition Graphics Card with HDMI and DVI by Ashley Long

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This card runs cool, about 110 degrees Fahrenheit under load

I purchased this card as an inexpensive replacement for an EVGA 2GB GTX 560 Superclocked card that failed due to a memory failure. The 560 was always hot, averaging about 140 degrees Fahrenheit under load, and the fans were always spinning and noisy. I never used an ASUS card until the brand was established, it's been around for a long time and the current demand for GPUs for cryptocurrency mining has pushed prices up sharply across the board. The specifications between the 560 and this 1030 card are almost identical. each one being slightly higher in one or two areas. Other than that, this card runs cool, about 110 degrees Fahrenheit under load, it draws very little power (is powered by the card slot), it's so quiet I don't hear it running on the other fans in the case. Performance is at least on par with the 560, but I think it performs significantly better in the games it's used for (World of Tanks, TF2, etc.). Benchmark tools (cat zilla, EVGA OC Scanner X) also show better performance. It only supports a couple of 19-inch monitors, but I expect it can maintain decent frame rates on 23-inch monitors too. I bought the card for $129 and for that or less I would say it's a great buy for a budget card.
