Perfect fit for Dell Inspiron 3880

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 3880 from Costco and wanted to upgrade the graphics card due to the limitations of the built in ones. I have an LG 32 monitor with a native resolution of 1920x1080p. With the built-in map, things are a bit unclear. The problem with the 3880 is finding a graphics card that will run on a PC with only a 200w PSU that is NOT upgradeable. According to the description it could work. So I bought it to try. I'm happy to report that it works great with no crashes. (for now)

Released 3 years ago but still a great option if you're looking for above average graphics!

I just bought a basic tower computer with integrated video, even though it has an Intel i5 9 free standard processor. The (Asus) Geforce GT 1030 was released in 2017 and the integrated graphics came out on my computer the same year. But in comparison, the Asus Geforce GT 1030 is much better in every way, including doubling the frame rate in games. Of course, this GPU may lag behind the latest models and expensive gaming graphics cards, but having it installed on my computer is a very niceโ€ฆ

This card runs cool, about 110 degrees Fahrenheit under load

I purchased this card as an inexpensive replacement for an EVGA 2GB GTX 560 Superclocked card that failed due to a memory failure. The 560 was always hot, averaging about 140 degrees Fahrenheit under load, and the fans were always spinning and noisy. I never used an ASUS card until the brand was established, it's been around for a long time and the current demand for GPUs for cryptocurrency mining has pushed prices up sharply across the board. The specifications between the 560 and this 1030โ€ฆ

Supported on Linux 5.8+ with NVidia driver version 470

This test is for the ASUS GT1030-2G-CSM, an entry-level gaming or graphics card with decent performance. I bought this card to replace an 11 year old (then) high end GTX 260 card that came new with my Ubuntu 20.04 Personal workstation which ran pretty well with NVidia's proprietary Legacy X11 driver , until the kernel was updated to version 5.8. The latest kernels do not support the driver for the GTX 260. This left me with an unaccelerated, open-source nouveau driver that rendered correctlyโ€ฆ
