Best Dry Dog Food

Update: Still going strong after two years. Now this is the only food I feed my dogs and the younger ones have even lost weight on this food. I now use lamb stew instead of chicken (the world's most perfect chihuahua is allergic to chicken) to make broth. He still eats and loves. (Other dogs are dachshunds and will eat almost anything, so they're not a good indicator of good dog food.) I'll start by saying that my fluffy baby (Chihuahua) is VERY picky, is 8 years old and suffers from gastrointestinal issues and allergies. I have tried every dog food on the market and none have been successful. For the last 3 years I have cooked her meals (grain free) but I think this is making her allergies (and possibly her overall health) worse. Enter the dog spawn. My dog has changed a lot in 3 days. She shoots at the food and licks the plate. This dog has always maintained its weight - 8.6 pounds give or take 5 ounces - on its own. She is not motivated by food. Now she asks me to feed her. She LOVES this thing. She stopped scratching. She is playing with her wild little furry sister. She just seems healthier and happier than ever. (fingers crossed, that's no coincidence.) So, I'll say I've made some changes to it. She has a little trouble chewing food. The instructions say you can add water but this is my baby so not enough water. :) I made my own homemade chicken broth using organic cage-free chicken, organic carrots, organic celery, and distilled water (town water, which I love, sucks). Nothing more. No salt, no spices, nothing. Once it was cooked, I mixed the carrots and celery into the broth and used the broth to soften the food. She loves him. Is my child spoiled? Yes. Is she the cutest chihuahua in the world? Yes. Does she deserve better food, even if it takes longer? A clear YES! If you bought this and your dog doesn't like it, try some chicken broth (if he can tolerate chicken) to see if that helps. If not, send me. :)
