I was hoping to use it on days when I didn't want to wear makeup to breathe some life into my skin. I'm not sure what I expected. I think I was hoping for a very hydrated look, maybe something that would add to the pink. However, by "brightness booster" they just mean it's shiny. It's not distracting, but it doesn't improve my skin either. I just look like I'm playing a twilight vampire. I also don't like the sticky/grainy texture on my hands when I apply it. I don't feel like wearing it underneath helps or harms my makeup application, but I think it has helped my sensitive skin get quite a bit of sleep lately. I liked the cute little bottle on the bathroom counter but the product wasn't worth it.
