Update added 4/8/17 below. I love making my own chicken broth, but hate the mess of having to drain the broth off the bones and mirapois after cooking. I end up having to wash several large appliances. With this basket, I can just take out the solid residue and just wash it and the original pot. The mesh is thin enough to hold small chunks out of the broth, and the legs keep the basket off the bottom of the pot and help drain the water. While I use it in an Instant Pot, it works well for the same function in a pot on the stovetop, or for hard-boiled eggs, pasta, or chips — anything where a quick drain is useful. It's great for making broth and broth. in the Instant Pot with a minimum of fuss. Yes, you have to remove the handles to fit the inner pot, but I was able to snap them off with pliers. I've tried bending them as some people have suggested but they are quite strong and I've never been able to bend them strong enough. It turned out to be easier to just take them off. Wish Instant Pot made this gadget with folding handles or something, but at the same time it works. I also use it to strain orange and grapefruit juice that I make with the attachment of a food processor. The food processor does a great job of quickly juicing large batches, but doesn't filter out the pulp well. I put this strainer in a large bowl and just pour the juice in. When I remove the strainer the juice comes out just the way I like it. not so deep and silicone "pan" with lid. All of them are ideal for 6 quart IP. The basket has a fold-down handle that makes it more convenient to use in the pressure cooker as it is easy to remove. While I still like this one for washing berries and such in the kitchen, I found the other best for use with the pressure cooker as it is.
