Review on Peugeot Paris u'Select Salt Mill: 9'' πŸ§‚ White - Precise Flavor Control and Elegant Design by Young Toulson

FULL PRICE and rust prone grinder

I've always wanted Peugeot coffee grinders because they are original giant restaurant grinders but I don't want one so much that I pay full price. When I saw this salt grinder being used for about $20 I jumped at the opportunity. There is a small chip in the paint, but that was to be expected. But even if they were in perfect condition, I would consider $20 the maximum anyone should pay for quality. It's weightless and feels plasticky and cheap rather than luxurious. I'm only giving it two stars because I assume the shredding mechanism is decent (just a guess!). However, it is steel, not ceramic, as salt mills are said to be due to the fact that salt is caustic and the instructions only specify dry rock salt. It's a shame because I like Celtic gray salt that gets wet. IMO, this company deals with their brand, not quality, at least with this model. If you want a Peugeot, get one before you commit. You might be disappointed like me. even for more than half the retail price!
