Review on Bluebonnet Nutrition Super Earth Organic Veggie Protein Powder Chocolate Review: 16 Ounce Powerhouse by Barbara Ortega

decent taste. Excellent ingredients. An impressive vegan protein supplement.

I'm impressed this vegan protein powder. It's an organic blend of brown rice, yellow peas, chia, and quinoa. I already consume brown rice (though more black rice), chia (daily) and quinoa. And I use pea protein in my protein shakes. So I know the ingredients of this mixture. It contains 2.8 grams of omega (3, 6, 9), 3.5 grams of fiber and 18 grams of protein. This is a good addition to any smoothie. With a chocolate flavor, it works best as a smoothie base (if your regular base isn't chocolate based, it'll add flavor). The taste of chocolate is nice, I don't find it overwhelming. It is compatible with chocolate flavors in similar protein powders that use stevia (note: organic stevia extract is used here). Fortunately, this protein powder has a number of certifications/badges. These include: gluten-free, soy-free, no added sugars (no artificial flavors or sweeteners are listed on the label either), vegan, K/Parve, USDA organic, and non-GMO. For me personally, the last three icons are the most important as they indicate the quality and integrity/purity of the ingredients and processing. A scoop is 31 grams, which seems a lot to me. So I actually used about 2/3 of a scoop. This results in less than 100 calories, which is my usual goal for adding protein powder to my smoothies. This still allows for more than enough protein. That brings up the aspect of this product. If you follow their suggestion of a full scoop, there are only 15 servings per container/bottle. It seems strange, but most of my other protein powders last at least a month. Keep this in mind if you are considering purchasing this product. In general, it is consistent with the descriptions and images in the product details. The taste is normal, if a bit too sweet. Contains non-GMO organic ingredients. Provides an adequate amount of vegetable protein. No cholesterol, no saturated fat! Accordingly, this organic plant protein powder receives a rating of 3.75 to 4 stars with a high recommendation.
