I bought two of these valves and had very little time to fit them before a long vacation. I have used them as an aquarium dispenser and it was important to me to be able to dose plant nutrients during my absence, now an aquarium will be without this function due to a defective valve. I installed the dispensers and found that one of the bins emptied much faster than the others, even though they both have the same control box. I couldn't see the leak from the start because the outlet part of the valve wasn't visible, but I suspected a valve. I was able to adjust it differently so I could see the outlet of the valve, and indeed a small droplet began to form when the valve was about to close. I took the valve apart and found that as you can see from the photos the valve seat was defective allowing fluid to flow through the valve when it was closed. Maybe I'm just unlucky as the other valve works fine. So in terms of effect, due to my need for this system before the holidays, there will be no metered nutrients in an aquarium, which is a shame.
