Good for smoker temperature control

I've been using this smoker temperature control device for about a year and it works great. I plugged it into a duplex outlet. When using only charcoal, I run a small fan with this thermostat to control airflow. Otherwise I have an electric heating element that I connect to it. The thermostat easily maintains a stable temperature.
