Of course it's strong and easy to hold, but the tines are VERY hard. I bought a similar product 4 years ago that has flexible silicone prongs that are gentle on pets skin. I found them again, but the price tripled. Mine are holding up well and I was thinking of buying a set for a family member because they were so good. I bought them based on the reviews and they were cheap. You get what you pay for. I'm sending them back and buying the same ones as before, even though the price has skyrocketed. Just don't tear your pets skin.
