I wanted something more compact than the suction cup stand I used in rental cars when traveling. So far, it's easily held our phones in multiple vehicles while navigating all sorts of back roads and pothole-filled city streets. This bracket meets all requirements very well. Unlike other vent mounts that just press against the vents (I just checked), this mount has a strong spring clip that stays in place no matter how thick or thin the vents are (since I've had issues). Anti-fall stand is a nice addition. It has stops to click, so it stays where you set it, so the blinds : ) stay open and still be able to hold my phone at the angle I set. I've tried many different phone mounts and this is by far the best combination of compactness and versatility. I also use my Vena iPhone case. It has a built in metal flap that works great with this (or any other) magnetic mount.
