The strap cannot be adjusted after initial installation. Unexpectedly will come free during use.
You have a chance to attach the strap ends to your case. Tried to make a single adjustment by moving one end and found the end of the belt was no longer making contact with the new housing. Secure the ends of the strap to the suitcase with packing tape after it becomes loose during use. I like the basic functionality and convenience, but the thought of my phone bouncing on the floor is unsettling. You would expect more from a $10 gum band.
