I used it for motorcycling in the summer. It was too hot to wear a jacket and pants. I don't know how they will withstand an accident but I was more confident that I would take less damage if I accidentally crashed. I'm 6ft 210lbs and they comfortably covered my knees and elbows. I liked the built in swivel joints. They made it easy to move around. I would have liked thicker, maybe wider, velcro straps to provide a more secure feel. But overall a decent product for the money. I only gave it 3 stars for durability simply because I didn't come across an incident where I really needed it and I've only used it a few dozen times. I don't know how well they will hold up as a long term product. But it worked for me this summer. Just make sure you line up the velcro properly when you try it on.
