This case protects better than the Otterbox I bought with my phone. I work in a building with a concrete floor and lots of hard surfaces. The previous case only protected the edges and back of my phone, but this one offers much better protection. The last screen protector I put on my phone only lasted a few days (literally) before cracking in a few spots. The last one with this cover has minor damage (mainly from falling out of a pocket - onto concrete of course) and not much more than the one I had before. big, not too small. It also has three front left pockets that are perfect for a few bills or your Starbucks card (I keep them in mine when my wife doesn't have one) or a credit card. The rubber on the edge of the magnetic flap came off fairly quickly, but other than that it holds up well and looks good. The only thing to note is that when you open the case and flip the front cover backwards, you cover the camera lens and fingerprint scanner. To take photos you have to hold your phone in a strange way so as not to block the camera. With the lid open 90 degrees, I place the bottom left corner on my left pinky and use my thumb to hold the edge of the case. Not impractical, but not ideal. However, I don't want a hole in the case where something could damage the screen or screen protector. Maybe someone else will find out when my phone gets old. It comes in multiple colors - I went for the (not quite) matte black and it looks very professional. I'm not saying my old case was bad. This just gives me more protection as my work environment seems to be taking an unusual amount of damage to my phone lately. I definitely recommend this phone case.
