I bought these socks because I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia) as a comorbidity. I have to wear compression stockings to prevent the blood in my body from pooling in my legs and causing dizziness and fainting. These socks work great and don't go to bed! The compression is not flimsy and definitely lives up to the advertising, unlike some of the stockings you buy online. The dots on top keep my socks in place and I never gain weight during the day. And as an added benefit, larger socks work a lot better than knee-high compression stockings (and look trendy, too, if you're young and chronically ill like me). Definitely recommend and will be buying more soon.
