EXCELLENT quality! especially considering the price! The scanner came in a nice (uncrumpled) box with a real manual. I don't think I'll need it, but I hate buying stuff like this and when I have a question I don't have a clue, so I love that it has a real (little booklet) user manual - Many Thanks! I guess it's powered by a real car. No empty scanner batteries, if there is a battery in the vehicle, the scanner will also work. You can leave it in your car in hot or cold weather without worrying about the scanner's battery. Overall, the device makes a solid impression, the cable is neither too long nor too short. Simple and convenient functions and buttons. It can't do what $500 scanners do, but that's impractical and not what I need. A simple tool to check codes and delete them if necessary. My truck was in limp mode due to a jump start (reduced engine power) so I plugged in the scanner, cleared it and after a few seconds shut it down. Overall I'm very happy with it and don't expect any problems. I'll update if anything comes up.
