I did a lot of research on toothpaste tablets and this was the first brand I tried; I really wanted fluoride and was glad to try activated charcoal. The packaging is a small glass jar with a metal lid, lightweight but not flimsy. I was looking for toothpaste pills to reduce the amount of single-use plastic in my house, so that was a huge plus. The pills don't always foam when I chew them, so I chew until the sand is almost gone, and then turn on and start my electric toothbrush. Then the brush itself picks up foam. I think this would also work well with a manual toothbrush because it only takes a moment of brushing for these things to lather up. After using them, my mouth feels clean and the mint flavor is present but not pronounced (not like regular toothpaste). with a "minty freshness" that feels like you've chewed on a pile of breath mints.). I'm not a big fan of the taste of xylitol, but that's a small price to pay for the benefits of these pills. My teeth were coffee stained and after 3 days of using these tablets twice a day I noticed a definite whitening. I was hoping the charcoal would help and I think I can safely say it does because I still drink coffee every morning, but my smile is getting brighter! One last thing, I wish they weren't so expensive. At $13 a month, they're at least three times the price of a tube of activated charcoal whitening toothpaste. Is there something in the manufacturing process that makes them a lot more expensive? Is this reusable packaging? Is this shipping from China? (I've seen they used to be made in the UK, but production has been moved to China during the pandemic.) I like their performance, but I'm not sure I can justify such a big green markup.
