You lost a loyal customer

First of all I wish there was a zero star option. That being said, I want you to know that I am a regular Bosch customer. I've been a builder for 15 years. But I was shocked at how poorly I was treated when I actually had a problem with one of these products. I bought a Bosch GOL 26 optical level, I used it myself both times; It was in new condition, it was kept at my home. The device started not staying straight when I tried to use it for the third time. I then sent it to the company for repair with a 2 year warranty. I was then told that if it wasn't registered the warranty is only for one year. I informed them that I registered it. A week later they called me back and said I needed to calibrate which is not covered under warranty. This instrument has only been used by me, not abused and kept in perfect condition. I can hardly believe it. I was also told the repair would cost $93. With so many different brands out there I thought they would treat loyal customers much better. I would be very skeptical about buying any of their tools for fear that if you have a problem they won't want to fix it.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
