Works fine, tedious to set up

This product definitely works the way I wanted it to. My problem was that I have a desktop computer that doesn't work well with wireless USB dongles. I've tried different USB Wi-Fi dongles, changed the computer's power settings, etc., but I still suffered from connection issues and initialization errors. I use this router to connect my desktop to my wifi network with an ethernet cable, so my desktop thinks it's on a wired network for internet purposes. Everything has been working fine for a few months after going through the router setup process which I have to admit was VERY painful. I've tried both methods of configuring the router using a web browser approach and the MikroTik application using a windows interface. In any case, the changes made to the router resulted in the router resetting immediately and the changes applied, preventing me from completing the implementation of all the changes I wanted first, resulting in the router not working properly. I don't know how I finally figured all this out, but it involved a very specific sequence of changes to get the router working as described. Generally it took me about 6-8 hours to set up the router, again due to the trial and error method of standard work. I've set up many pre-built commercial consumer routers in the past and the whole thing took 5-15 minutes, so this one is definitely for those with advanced skills and patience.

Pros

Cons
