I have one Bought mini board because the large one was too expensive.The board isn't really self-healing, but other than that it's as described.However, I can see the foam breaking down over time.I made a larger one (pictured right) for $6 .when I found it was too small for many projects.My large, homemade, economy version is made with pre-stretched canvas and three layers of foam from a yoga mat I haven't used in years.It's secured with a piece of board that my husband had in the garage.I use the mini board for small micro macrame projects like keychains and earrings but I use my homemade board for everything else like micro macrame bracelets and necklaces or macr amee purses and wall hangings.
