Works but with a very nice downside

I bought about 8 Sintech adapters as I often buy and fix Mac hardware. I have tested this adapter on MacBook Air (2013 to 2017) and MacBook Pro Retina (2012 to 2015) and can only say that the adapter works. It's fast, it does the job, but there's a downside. I will describe it below and that is the reason for my two star rating. Firstly, to use this adapter you need to install Mojave 10.14 or later, don't choose High Sierra, it's packed with old nvme drivers. You must install it using the MacBook OEM disk, not the adapter. Secondly, after deploying macOS 14.3+, you should format the drive as APFS for two reasons: firstly, if you don't do this, the drive will be recognized with a big delay when you turn on the computer, and secondly, if you don't, you cannot get macOS updates. Exceptions, just close the laptop screen without turning it off, wait at least 25 minutes and open it again. Good luck on your return! You have to hard reset your computer or you will get a nice flashing folder with a question mark on the screen like in the attached image. Photo for MacBook Pro Retina 15.4"2015. The only way to solve this problem is to disable sleep mode completely, which will drain the battery very quickly and lose the ability to sleep. This is normal by using use the terminal and run the command for it For MacBook Air 2014 and 2013 the disk boot delay is 9 seconds with adapter Finally note that Apple Diagnostics returns error code VDH002 which indicates a problem with the storage device If you are using If you can live with both of these problems, this is a great adapter.
