Review on FormulaMod Secondary 8.8 Temperature Expansion 💻 Resolution Monitor - 1920X480P, 60Hz, Wide Screen by Alan Ross

The screen has a decent resolution and only displays SDR. Can be used as a separate monitor: but why? The back cover is made of clear acrylic and the front panel has a heavy duty anodized aluminum frame. There are cable channels, short on the right side for cable management. Depending on the placement and housing, you can hide the cables. I bought it to use Aida64 with some custom templates and add some flair to my PC case. The item arrived yesterday and was delivered quickly by Revain. I installed the screen so that it was visible through the side glass of the case. I had to activate it before installing. When I turned on the screen, I noticed that the LED border only illuminates part of the back. I've watched the FormulaMod videos a few more times and they show that it's lit with just one light. This is a bit deceptive as the placement is on a double image when they show it. I didn't want the screen to be only 25% lit. I've seen other pictures in reviews where the back cover is lit all around. I wasn't sure if my light was bad or if it was working properly. Rather than sending it back to Revain for a replacement, and it could possibly be 'as was', I decided to put a 12v RGB strip behind it so the top at least lights up all the way. Yours may or may not be so prepared. I've also read a few threads about software and viruses, so I wouldn't download their templates just in case. You are on Google Drive with a 108MB file that cannot be scanned, only downloaded. Visit the aida64 site, share your panel forums or create your own which I do. The rest of the screen works as advertised. I've only had it 1 day so I'll update the review as needed depending on longer ownership. Sorry for the noise in the video as there are other home fans that don't work on my PC.
