Review on 🧺 RetroClean Cleaning Solution Bag by Lori Sanders

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works much the same as refurbishment but will not remove odors

I buy a lot of vintage bedding on sale. I usually use a combination of Restoration and/or Biz and/or OxyClean to clean them, but decided to give this product a try since the Restoration I usually use is about $800 a bucket lol. I bought this for about $18 for a one pound bag which is way overpriced in my opinion. I was surprised how small the one pound bag really is. It's hard to tell if he restored both the linens and the restoration as each piece is different, but I think it did a good job. I soaked a bunch of linens (handkerchiefs, pillowcases, kitchen towels) overnight and there was a world of difference when they were done. A few items still had stains/discoloration so I soaked them in Biz again and between the two almost all stains/yellowing/darkening were gone. I noticed that this product does not have a musty smell. no underwear at all. However, Biz did a great job with it. You really want to be sure that whatever you are trying to clean is colorfast or risks fading or bleeding. One of my items, a children's apron, had a paint (red) that dripped after getting wet. I didn't really care because I bought it for $2 and for the purposes I was going to use it for if it's not colorfast then better I found out now. But if you have a family heirloom, be careful.
