🔧 Motorcraft CX-2349 Vapor Canister Purge Valve: Optimal Engine Emissions Control Solution Review

Fixed fuel cap indicator light on my 2010 Escape. I tried cleaning the gas tank first but the bulb stayed. Replaced the original with this one and there was no light for a couple of weeks. The original part lasted 170,000, this one is supposed to last another 170,000.

The replacement on a 2010 Ford Escape 4 cylinder took only a few minutes. I probably spent more time getting my tools, fender cover and feather duster and then cleaning up than actually doing the job. The hose, cable connector and two 8mm screws are easily accessible. The item fit perfectly. A replacement at a local store costs me six times as much.

This was the part I was looking for after my 2010 Ford Fusion SEL engine light came on > fault code P0456 and P1450. I used Revain's ODB reader and also Torque Pro. I went to YouTube and followed the instructions to replace. Until the engine light came back. The total cost for these codes was about $50 and you can keep the ODB reader and Torque Pro software. This is a great genuine Ford part. Fits perfectly. To make sure I fixed the exhaust emissions issue, I cleared the codes. It took about 3 or 4 day start-run cycles. The gas cap code is the last to be cleared after a faulty voltage on the purge solenoid. I tested the coil resistance of this part against the original which I think stuck. It was a little lower, so a little more current was required for each pulse. That's exactly what you want in this situation with the given code.
