I have a 2.5 year old and a 2 month old and we live in an area where summer temps are generally in the triple digits. These fans work wonderfully to circulate air in the back before the car is completely cooled, as well as keeping the cool air moving once we've reached a comfortable temperature. The fan only stays on for 10 minutes at a time, which is perfect for running errands. The remote needs to have a direct line if sight in order to function, so that's been an issue because sometimes we have the hood up on convertible carseat and it can block the signal. As a result, I manually turn on the fan when I'm putting the kids in the car instead of relying on the remote.Another reviewer had indicated they didn't like the fan because they felt their child could hurt their fingers in it; I'm not really worried about that because a) both my kids are in carseats that really restrict their reach and there is no way they could reach the back headrest from the seat and b) I've put my fingers into the fan and it doesn't hurt.
