Review on 🔌 Revesun HDMI 2x1 Multi-Viewer with Picture-in-Picture (PIP) - 2 Input 1 Output Quad Switcher for 1080p HDMI 1.3a with HDCP 1.2 by Ryan Rea

Purchased specifically to allow Apple TV to run 1080P on a TV that only supports 1080I. For this purpose it works without problems. My setup is essentially Apple TV -> AV Receiver -> TV. Initially I installed this block as follows: Apple TV -> Revsun -> AV Receiver -> TV. The image conversion worked without any problems. However, I noticed that with movies using Dolby Surround, the center channel didn't play any sound (or at least not enough to be heard). I was about to send this back when I came up with a workaround. Instead of installing Revsun before my AV receiver, I will install it later. So the configuration looks like this: Apple TV -> AV Receiver -> Revsun -> TV. This allows me to get 1080 resolution and all surround channels on my TV. Do note, however, that if you're buying this primarily for video, you might be missing out on surround sound if you can't set it up like I did. . However, it seems to work well for videos.
