This replaces the old Radio Shack 6 surge protector that withstood multiple shocks and blew out multiple outlets. I've had Tripp Lite surge protectors for years and never had a problem. This surge protector was perfect as the outlet I needed to go to was next to the service panel and I needed 6 extra outlets for various devices. In addition, 3 rotating sockets help in this situation due to the limited space next to the service entrance. You also get 2 USB charging ports, a lifetime limited warranty, and a $20,000 maximum lifetime insurance that covers any connected devices damaged by a power surge. As mentioned, I've had a Tripp Lite in the past, but the ones I bought withstood a lot of power surges and still worked. This plastic feels like the insides of the shaft can be a bit brittle and fried. But Revane was amazing and immediately sent me another one. Hope this works.
