Review on 🔧 American Standard 028610-0070A Cartridge: Black, High-Quality Replacement Part by Adam Boudreau

Replaced original 15 year old cartridges. Note that I really only need to replace one side, but I did both out of care. The actual leak was not on the cartridge, but just below the handle shaft (old term: shaft seal), so that it only leaked when the water tap was turned on. The net result: much smoother operation, no leaks. Note: If you take out the original cartridge before ordering, it may not look like it! This cartridge is used in many American standard faucets. Some grip designs use different systems for adjusting the on/off stops. In my case, the lock washers inserted into the cartridge were removed and discarded, as was the black plastic grip bushing. Instead, the handle has a support collar with built-in stops. Your design may vary!
