Product works as described in terms of functionality. The problem I had was that the temperature dropped over time regardless of the type of temperature sensor used. According to temperature measurements, it lost about 2°-5° every hour. This caused the water to overheat, which it had to support. Instead of a water temperature of 150°, the water temperature rose to 165° after 3 hours and continued to rise. But the apparatus said that the water is stable at 150°. After lots of testing and troubleshooting, I found that a lot of ventilation is needed to slow down the temperature spike problem, but that won't stop it. It felt very warm, but not too hot in my opinion - around 115C for an ambient temperature of 95C. I tried Inkbird and it got colder without any temperature spikes in the same panel. The electronics inside the panel need to heat up and stay accurate. Not this unit! This was enough to cause inaccuracies at levels unacceptable for a homebrewing application. After I opened the panel and the fan blew on it the whole time, it was a bit more accurate, but still an unacceptable temp spike in 8-12 hours. The bottom line is that this controller block will become inaccurate over time. If your application can handle 20 degrees of error, you're probably fine. But why would you do that when you can get Inkbird for the same price and know you're getting accurate readings. FYI, the problem I found was the temperature drop over time, not the calibration. I initially calibrated but after 8 hours it was off by 15 degrees or more. I ran a dozen or more tests, changing conditions, parameters, and sensors. All tests showed time difference. The same tests on Inkbird passed without any temperature slip. I've spent so much money replacing dipsticks and a lot of time testing only to have to spend more money to replace this MYPIN junk! Terrible, terrible product!
