I've tried two more expensive KVMs and they failed. This applies to the FreeBSD tower and the CentOS tower, which have worked well with KVM VGA and audio for years. I was surprised that HDMI KVM didn't work, including one that's pretty much the same as VGA I've been using for years. Anyway, I gave this a try as a last resort - it was pretty cheap and I really didn't expect it to work. But to my surprise, once plugged in, it worked perfectly. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because there is no hotkey to switch between computers and because it requires an external power outlet. I understand that high-end KVMs typically require a power outlet, but I was spoiled by my previous Iogear (for VGA) that didn't require one. Not sure about the cable length, 3ft I think might be an issue depending on where the computers are placed, but it's pretty standard. Original price, I have to say it's a good deal.
