In my testing, I found that the temperature actually dropped about 3-5°F (with proper orientation, more on that later). can be used in small spaces without adding too much to an already large PS4 Pro, but my main issue is the rattling noise it makes when the console is centered. These vibrations are awful for a standard hard drive and probably won't do any good to the other circuitry or thermal paste/compound on board in the long run (we're trying to dissipate heat here, so who doesn't think about longevity?) I noticed that, if you move the cooler a little to one side or the other, this will help muffle the rattling noise, but will block the airflow a bit, resulting in a 2-3°F temperature increase compared to the original (i.e. no cooler) For reference, my test allowed the PS4 Pro to run the Call of Duty Warzone lobby screen for 20 minutes and then check the pace. Overall not bad for $20 which is what you would expect. But does the warranty cover my console? And does this void the warranty on my consoles?
