This is as advertised. I would use this more to remove deep stains and food residue for a basic scrubber than a sponge. Good grip and looks very high quality, but filling with detergent is very cumbersome. It is inserted from above and not like comparable products through a screw on the handle. Also, it takes too long for the dish soap to get out of the handle and onto the outside of the sponge. If it hurts, I would just take the one for the scrubber and get a separate one for the sponge.
