I just bought my 3rd device in 12 years. Firewood is my main source of heat and I need to move heated air to even out the heat between the main room and the bedrooms/kitchen. This little fan makes it possible. After a few minutes you will feel warm air flowing through the fan. The fan is powerful for its size, resulting in the noise that others have commented on in their reviews. Here's a little trick if you want to cool down a room with a wood-burning stove quickly. The company conveniently added screw holes on the two solid sides of the unit (I put the screws on the side of the door jamb). Just remove the device from the wall, turn it so the fan blows in the opposite direction, and put the device back on the screws (the slots that were on top are now on the side). Now cold air blows into the hotter room. Another tip: you can extend the life of your device by disassembling and cleaning it. I use mine all the time during the cool and cold seasons (I live in Montana so eight to nine months of the year) and I've found this little trick keeps the fan running. I keep buying the same device over and over again because they are workhorses. Five stars
