later To be honest I had some low expectations. There are a million options for 7-inch headlights, and most of them don't get good reviews. I chose these because they resemble the factory LED lights for my Jeep JL which is what I was aiming for and the limited reviews seem good. Installation was very easy and straightforward. The JL adapter mounts work well and feel solid. One note: Even when fully adjusted, they were recessed about 1/2 inch into my grill, so I put some plastic spacers between the brackets and the frame. Brackets to take up extra space. The brackets are easy to adjust, but this requires removing the grille. Connecting the daytime running lights is also easy, but will require additional effort depending on the approach chosen. I bought a fuse jumper/adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LFXA5YQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and ran a wire to the fuse box, which worked great. much, much brighter than standard halogen on my JL. I don't have a lux meter, so it's purely empirical, but at least the light "glows" more efficiently. You have a good horizontal borderline. And while there is a very slight hump in the middle, this is by no means a problem and will not be noticeable anywhere other than on the wall during testing/tuning. They also have small streaks in the edge lighting, but that's not a problem either. Horizontal lighting is very good. I don't get the chance to use Hi/Bright very often, but in some tests they seem to be very, very bright and emit light over a long distance. The DRLs are also very bright and look good. Let's see how they wear and if there are any problems over time but so far I'm very satisfied and would recommend them.
