This WiFi router is great, it can be a little expensive but it is worth the investment, the WiFi performance alone is literally like a bulldozer, the signal is strong. My house is over 90 years old and the walls are so thick that my old router had a hard time reaching me on the third floor and through some of the walls in my house without constant buffering. This router literally forwards the signal without losing any data packets. It's a worthwhile investment, especially when it comes to the router protocols used for legacy computers and laptops as well as new generation laptops and wireless devices. It uses not only standard wireless protocols, but also next-generation protocols. Outlast your desktop or laptop for years to come, it's technologically way ahead. It might seem a little pricey, but it's worth the investment as it'll outlast your laptops and desktops for the next few years, plus built-in dual-band and the fact that the router can handle gigabit wire transfers. in the future it seems worthwhile to broadcast on all 3 floors in my house and you can also create guest networks for friends or people who visit so well
