Suitable for 2013 Silverado. If your car already has remote start, these will work just fine. Not OEM but close enough to get the job done. A locksmith can program them for $30, so call and see who knows how. For those looking to upgrade to remote start, please read on below! If your GM car doesn't have remote start but does have a 'prep pack' (code AP8 listed on a sticker in the glove box) then they won't magically give you remote start. If you have an AP8 code, you'll have to pay GM about $100 just to unlock your computer and allow remote boot. There's no getting around this, so don't waste your money on workarounds. Pay the dealer a GM ransom if you want remote start. The total cost for the dealer to unlock the computer and program the 2 transponders (which he will provide) should be around $250. If you still want to buy them, call the dealer first and make sure they don't charge you for OEM remotes. Most of them claim that this is part of the package that they cannot change. Maybe it's true, but I know I don't need 4 remotes for 1 car.
