Review on Long-Lasting Protection: Kidde 21010047 C3010D Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Digital Display and 10 Year Sealed Battery by Ashwin Drollinger

The battery in this detector that was supposed to last 10 years only lasted two years. A month ago I sent the unit back to Kidde at my own expense and asked for a replacement under warranty. They received the package, but they didn't answer me, which doesn't surprise me - they replace the recalled faulty fire extinguishers very slowly, but that's more like the same bad service. I have already purchased the First Alert Block to replace it. I would recommend that you opt for a different unit from the company who stand behind their products and if you have one that fails prematurely, don't throw good money for bad by sending it back to Kidde. UPDATE: Kidde finally replaced my block. , seven months after I sent it back. Sorry, this is too long to make the customer wait for the warranty service, even if it is not mandatory. Since it is protective equipment, the short response times are simply unforgivable.
