I bought it for my granddaughter's first birthday. she liked it! He's big for her, so she needs help until he grows up. She's a bit short for her age, but I think she'll be able to ride it herself when she's two years old. Other reviews said the seat was too hard. It's definitely not too difficult! And if you want it to be softer, the "saddle" is not sewn all around, so you can easily put additional padding underneath. This is a very cute rocking horse. The only thing I would change is to put caps on the visible screw heads that hold blocks to step on when mounting a horse. The screws are countersunk, so you don't have to worry about your child getting hurt by them. It would just look better. I can buy some wooden dowels and insert them myself with some glue. I am very happy with this purchase.
