Review on Spectra Premium FP54A Oil Pan by Tyler Ramey

Matches the factory oil pan perfectly and bolts directly onto my 2010 Ford Expedition 4x4. No leaks when fitted with Victor Reinz OS32517 sump gasket. Removal/installation took about 4 hours from start to cleaning. Now that I know what I'm doing I could probably turn it off in less than 3 hours. Prep work includes unbolting the steering rack and lowering (2 large bolts), unbolting the front differential and lowering (3 bolts), removing the nut securing the bracket to the front of the engine on the passenger side, so that the hard lines can be moved to gain access to the studs. After that, unscrew the bolts that secure the oil pan, carefully lower it and remove it, reverse side to front (there is no need to remove the oil tank), clean the remnants of the old gasket and install the new oil pan in reverse order.
