
I bought these headphones in December 2017 based on the many positive feedbacks. When they first came out I was so pleased with the sound quality, comfort in my ears and their ability to block out outside noise. I use headphones for school or to watch movies on my computer; I'm not rude with them, I keep them carefully, the last pair I had was 8 years old etc. However, just a month after buying them, the left earbud suddenly shorted out and stopped working. I tried sending them back through Revain and was told to contact Panasonic directly instead. I've tried using the live chat support feature on the Panasonic website many times, but I kept getting the message that there were no staff on chat at that time (regardless of what time of day I tried ). I then called their helpdesk at 1-888 and the first automated message alerting me was that I may be charged a $9.99 service fee for assistance if I continue the call and my product is not from covered by the warranty. Not knowing if the headphones came with a limited warranty, I decided to just hang up, write off my money and order a second pair. They arrived on January 25, 2018 and again I was satisfied. Less than two weeks later, while watching a home video, the right earbud suddenly shorted out and stopped working. I called Panasonic again thinking that this time it should be covered by some sort of warranty less than 2 weeks old. A customer service rep emailed me with instructions on how to send proof of purchase for both pairs, and later I received an email with instructions on how to ship the headphones. They stated that I could only ship the item in a specific corrugated container, that it had to fit in the size of that container, and that I would have to pay for tracking and insurance in addition to shipping. . The total shipping cost is more than THREE pairs of these headphones and they do not guarantee to send me two new pairs to replace the two broken ones. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a purchase from Revain. I was disappointed and frustrated that I wasn't able to process my return directly through Revain and get a replacement or refund like I usually do with Revain, but instead I had to go through the whole process with Panasonic and still don't. I don't know if Panasonic will honor their warranty and send me two new pairs. Judging by the amount of positive feedback on these headphones, it seems like I've just had bad luck (twice) with defective pairs, but if you're one of those unlucky ones, you can consider your money's spent wasted due to incredible issues and no headphones as well customer service to get it right.
