They are well made and should last for many years. LED lamps do not fail, but the wiring can. They seem to have heavy, well-insulated cables that should be solid. I attached them to the back of the house siding with NM staples. Only the light bulbs protrude below the bottom of the circuit board, so that they are hardly visible from the outside when switched off. I plan on keeping them on all year round and only need to turn them on during the Christmas period instead of having to charge them every year. Makes decorating easier. I want them to last so I went with the commercial variety. So far, so good.
