Review on High-Performance MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS Motherboard: AMD AM4, PCIe 4.0, DDR4, SATA 6Gb/s, M.2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI, ATX by Leslie Morrison

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Worked fine for 2 months then only occasional reboots

Originally I wanted to give this motherboard a good rating because it had good features and quality. Except that the board keeps randomly rebooting after 2 months without overclocking or anything. When the motherboard is running, it works great and has good overclocking capabilities. But the big IF in this motherboard is whether or not it wants to randomly reboot. When my computer first restarted, I initially thought it was a GPU error, RAM error, or even a PSU error and just carried on as usual, allowing it to restart. But at random intervals it just reboots for no reason, no blue screen, the event log just says "Kernel Power" or something. I'd be less disappointed if the reboots came at predictable intervals, but they're completely random. Sometimes I can use the PC for an hour, a day, a week or just a few seconds. There's no rhyme or reason for it. I've updated Windows, BIOS and every driver I could find and it still didn't fix anything. I even put all the new parts of all my PC's components onto the motherboard and it's no different. I've searched my problem online and it seems to be very common with this motherboard, so I don't recommend this motherboard even if you're using new 4th Gen PCI components. You'd be better off spending your money on a higher quality board or another manufacturer spend .
