Bought these for my sister who is just starting out in jewelry making. I wasn't expecting it to be the best set in the world but they are a lot cheaper than the even cheaper cheap toys I bought when I started the hobby. I was hoping to give her something nicer than what I started with, but it's actually less nice. The edges of each pair are serrated, with sharp bits of metal on the sides of the jaws that could cut fingers or damage the wire. The hinges on two items were broken before being removed from the packaging. They are also not the same as in the photo - the pins on the set I received are purple and grey. d expect from dollar store item. Cheap, carelessly made to the point that some things aren't useful. I'm thinking about returning them but don't know if I can get anything else for Christmas. The sharp plastic packaging also broke upon delivery and ripped up all 3 books Revain had sent them. This is not a comment on the product itself, but if you decide to order this set you can order it separately.
