After ordering 3 different crimping tools, this was the first one that actually worked properly with my Cat 5e RJ-45 connectors. It is smaller than other tools so it fits in your hand more easily. It also makes it easy to fit into a small tool box. It only works with RJ-45 jacks (not RJ-11), but that's usually the only thing a hobbyist or home networking enthusiast would need anyway. I like the fact that it has a tool locking mechanism when closed. This is very important to save space in a small tool box. The only thing I don't like about this tool is the lack of a ratchet when closing. Other tools I've tried would close the ratchet while crimping to ensure the crimp was truly complete (just keep pushing until the clicking stops). This tool isn't a ratchet at all, so all you have to do is squeeze it as hard as you can and hope that's enough. So far it has been like this.
