Over year Later: my feedback

I ordered this about 17 months ago. Still works great. I need a portable light lamp that didn't require me to hold, for my tool bag and this fit the bill. Good balance on light output, you can get brighter lights and weaker lights. More lumens means faster battery drain. So you have some pros and cons with that.I discovered these are very useful for temporary power outages, I had one last night and it prompted me to write this review. I used the amazon brand batteries with this and they worked fine.Observations: Its smaller than you would expect, but making it portable for easy storage in your vehicle glove box or middle console etcBatteries can be difficult to load (too complicated)Excellent value for the priceUses an uneven amount of batteries so with a pack of 4 you have 1 left over. Not much runs on a single D battery. Its sturdy dependable and reliable.

Pros
  • Very bright and lightweight
Cons
  • The lantern's battery compartment may not be properly sealed, risking water damage
