Super bright. Bright lightThis little lantern packs a punch. It’s only small in size but fully functional like a big lantern. So many good features. My only negative is most items these days charge by USB. This still needs D batteries (yuck). Not a deal breaker because again, this light is powerful (see video). i use this light once on my car camping trip and it is perfect!. light is bright and it lid up my whole car very well. warm light and cool light are my options and there is also SOS mode if i need it. the only thing i don't like is that there is no usb plug and it is not rechargeable but not a big problem for me because i can use my rechargeable D cell battery. works very very well for me and i really like it. thanks

These are plenty bright for how big they are. I like that they are dimmable. Max power is almost too bright. I liked this one so much I bought another one am going to use these to replace my propane lanterns for camping.

Received the lantern yesterday and plan on returning it today. It just isn’t that bright in my opinion. Seemed more like 650 lumens than 1500 lumens. I happened to also buy the Kodiak® The Kamper® 3000 Lumen Lantern at Costco Business Center for around $13 the same day, and it is much brighter in the 1500 lumen setting (super bright at 3000 lumens), is less expensive, and is lighter.

I have some of those little LED lanterns that you pull up on the handles and they switch on. They're okay but the light temp is way on the blue side of the spectrum which is hard on my eyes, and the lens is not frosted so the light is not diffused in any way. They're fine in an emergency but they hardly make a camping experience enjoyable.I saw this and thought I'd give it a try to replace those other lanterns. When I realized how small this lantern was, I knew I would be disappointed. It's child-sized. But when I saw how functional it was, and how bright the light was, I wished I had bought several more. I like this way more than I even expected. Just great for sitting in a darker part of the porch. Easy to use and has several different settings, including a flashing red emergency light. Might get another to carry in the car. Excellent value for the price.

This is a great portable lantern. It is very bright, and nice sized. There’s a small clip in the base to use for hanging. 3 D cell batteries also provide stable weight in the base. Excellent value

I purchased this to hang next to our hot tub to give extra light at night. It works great! I used it for an hour or more for a week and the batteries are still good.

I've had a Streamlight Siege (the 3 D cell version) for about 2 years and I really like it. When I saw this Lepro lantern, I had to get it. It looks and feels almost the same as the Siege, but this Lepro can put out nearly 3 times the lumens. Comparing output side by side, the Lepro blows the Siege away. This lantern is only 15WT. equals 1350LUMS, NOT 1500 as advertised. Amount of LUMS not mentioned on package or instruction sheet.Going back ASAP

Bought this to replace a very old battery lantern. I was a little surprised by how small this is which is not necessarily bad….just a surprise. I guess I should have paid more attention to the advertised measurements. Had I, I probably would have purchased something else and missed out on this one. This little lantern is surprisingly bright and, being small and light, it is easy to pack or find a spot to hang or place. If it holds up, I will really like it.

I ordered this about 17 months ago. Still works great. I need a portable light lamp that didn't require me to hold, for my tool bag and this fit the bill. Good balance on light output, you can get brighter lights and weaker lights. More lumens means faster battery drain. So you have some pros and cons with that.I discovered these are very useful for temporary power outages, I had one last night and it prompted me to write this review. Short and sweet: This is a very nice camping lantern that functions as described and uses batteries to power it. It is well made and works well for the purpose. Small but bright. All good but could use a diffuser or shield on a side if at eye level for table tpo work. The lantern may not be able to evenly distribute light, causing areas to be left in the dark!

This lantern is light weight and easy to store. That's my review. The illumination is perfect for emergency needs. It is a good value.

This lantern is an excellent choice for a variety of uses. Its moderate weight is easy to carry with a hook that can be pulled up. The hook on the bottom permits upside down hanging. It has four choices of lights, with one being red. I can envision being helpful in a variety of situations ranging from camping, close work, power outages or just night walks through the neighborhood.

After inserting the batteries in each of the two lamps purchased, I turned each one on. The brightness was intense. I tried the other settings - one gave the more mellow white light, the other did nothing. Then, with both units, nothing. Neither lamp would light again. You would think it would at least give a YELLOW light as it appears to be A LEMON!

These small lanterns really pack a bright light! I like all the options for light modes, and the fact that it can be hung up. And it is very light weight.

I thought I just wanted something small to tuck in a cabinet in case of a power outage. What I didn't anticipate was a 12 hour outage shortly after receiving them. The little lanterns out performed our two large camping lanterns. They are remarkably bright and very lightweight. Not sure how long the batteries will last overall but didn't fail after about 4-5 hours of use during outage. Recommended!
