Works exactly like the original. Same remote control model number as the original 2015 Samsung TV. I wanted to give the remote for my Samsung 2011 as a gift as it has a few more functions. The power button on the original 2011 remote stopped working. Confirmed that the 2015 remote worked for most functions on my 2011 Samsung. And this purchase gives me a reserve for both TVs. I actually use an inexpensive 2011 universal TV remote that I bought at the same time to withstand the wear and tear of the new ones.
